Washington, D.C. May 19, 2014 – Democrats for Education Reform (DFER) today announced new members of its Board of Directors. A diverse group of former elected officials from across the country, DFER’s Board reflects the growing corps of progressive leaders nationwide committed to improving education outcomes for all students.

“DFER is proud of the family we have built over the past seven years as we advocate to make the Democratic Party the party of high quality public education, and we welcome the incredible leaders who make up our Board of Directors,” said Joe Williams, Executive Director, DFER. “Their diverse experiences and backgrounds reflect the role DFER has sought to play in representing what it means to be a progressive on this important issue.
