As a first-generation college graduate and University of Southern California alumnus, Michael is a driven professional, passionate about social justice, particularly education equity for systematically marginalized communities.
Through a number of succeeding opportunities and with more than 15 years of experience stewarding partnerships and executing creative strategies that generate substantial investments and tangible contributions, Michael has played significant roles in sustaining the financial security and growing the overall capacity for some of New York City’s most effective non-profit organizations.
As a grassroots fundraiser, he managed campaign street teams and representative call banks. As a Development Manager, he focused on renewing and stewarding donor relationships, and as a Major Gifts Manager, his responsibilities included researching, cultivating, and growing the giving capacity of major philanthropic investors.
Today, holding the role of Director, Individual Philanthropy with Education Reform Now, Michael plays a substantial role in nurturing and advancing the relationships that help foster the operational health and progress ERN’s mission to develop and advance education policies that allow all students to fulfill their limitless potential.
