Since its inception, Education Reform Now Louisiana (ERN-LA) has successfully mobilized community leaders and strengthen effective discourse resulting in decisions that have and will continue to positively impact school quality, particularly in our struggling school districts, for years to come. ERN-LA was formed 2015 to address Louisiana’s struggles with educational quality, equity, and a pronounced opportunity gap. ERN-LA advocates for students who suffer because of this by focusing on our five core policy areas: Public School Choice, Resource Equity, Talent Recruitment and Retention, Increasing Access to Higher Education, and Rigorous Standards and Accountability. As students continue to show student achievement in charter schools across Louisiana improving it is critical for our community stakeholders to push reform that will preserve the gains made and increase the number of high quality public education options throughout the state.
