When it comes to federal aid and accountability for results, progressive advocates should have three bottom line demands for the pending HEA (Higher Education Act) reauthorization.
In his latest blog, Konrad Mugglestone explores the question: “Does a thriving endowment lead to growth in financial aid, increased access for low-income students, or lower tuition?”
A justifiable, compromise student aid model that guarantees some scholarship aid to high achieving students at all income levels while also guaranteeing at least some financial aid to economically disadvantaged students at all achievement levels.
