Eduwonk, a.k.a. Andy Rotherham, who is a board member of DFER, writes up the launch event the other night and uses the word "honcho" to describe me. (I'm told that some teacher union types consider "honco" to be a slam on working men and women, so Eduwonk should be careful how he throws it around.)
Also, speaking of teacher union types, EdWize's Leo Casey honors DFER by reminding us that dudes like him seem to honestly believe that they alone speak for the Democrats and for public education. He wants the public to support education, but only if he gets to decide how the support should look. Why wouldn't he want that? It works for him.
