There’s so much to be thankful for this year. As we approach the holidays and the end of 2012, the whole DFER team remains tremendously grateful for the education reform community’s Election Day victories. From president to school boards (and a Colorado ed reformer as the new DSCC chair), we have plenty to smile about.
These successes wouldn’t have been possible without the timely generosity of education reformers across the country who supported DFER’s Education Reformers of the Month.
This holiday season, instead of supporting our Education Reformer of the Month, we’re asking you to please donate to Little Kids Rock, a non-profit devoted to providing music education in public schools. We believe their program is top-notch. And this kind of enrichment can transform the lives of underserved kids.
Norman Atkins, founder of the Relay Graduate School of Education, said Little Kids Rock “will impact the lives of children in a meaningful way for many years to come and can create a replicable approach to effective music education in our urban schools.”
Little Kids Rock is an innovative program with a rigorous curriculum. Help bring the passion for music to kids by making a donation today!
Please click here to watch the Little Kids Rock demo and make a tax-deductible donation directly to this worthy cause. The group is highly rated by GreatNonprofits and Charity Navigator, so you know your donation will be put to good use. From that page, you can also tell your friends how to put instruments in the hands of kids.
Thank you, once again, for your generous support throughout the year.
