Just kidding, reindeer can’t vote, but it wouldn’t be the holidays without at least an attempt at a cheesy reindeer joke.
But, in all seriousness folks, there’s a fellow DFER that really needs your help this holiday season as he jump-starts his campaign to fill an important seat in the U.S. Congress. So, to spread your holiday cheer, we’re asking you to donate $25, $100, or even $500 to his campaign.
The husband of a dedicated public school teacher and the first person in his family to attend college, Brendan Boyle has also seen the impact education can have on kids, firsthand. These are just some of the reasons he’s running to fill the seat of Democratic Rep. Alyson Schwartz as she mounts a campaign for governor. As current Rep. for PA’s 170 District, Boyle introduced the REACH Scholarship Act to help qualifying students attend a PA school tuition-free and fought to protect public school children by opposing deep education cuts proposed by Pennsylvania Gov. Corbett.
Yet despite his strong ed reform cred, Brendan Boyle faces an uphill battle in 2014 as he dukes it out against opponents for a sought-after seat in Congress.
