Talk about heart … Erika Beltran has so much heart it’s falling off her sleeve.
There’s nothing she cares about more than our kids— particularly those struggling to succeed in her home state of Texas.
That’s why I’m asking for your help to support Erika in her race for a seat on Texas’ State Board of Education by clicking here to donate just $20 to her campaign.
Erika grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and was the first in her family to attend and graduate from college. After college, she went on to teach bilingual kindergarten and 4th grade in her hometown for several years. While in the classroom, Erika realized the magnitude of obstacles facing kids on their path toward becoming college and career ready. So, she decided to run for the District 13 (Dallas/Fort Worth) seat to impact the policies facing schools at the state level.
There’s no doubt schools in Texas are in trouble. In 2013, only 38% of Texas eighth graders were proficient in math and just 31% were proficient in reading. That’s a lot of kids left unprepared.
Erika Beltran understands the need for change at the state level to advance the education of all Texas’ students including those in her district, which is why she is now engaged in a tough three way open primary. And, with the election less than two weeks away, now is the time to lend Erika your support by donating here.
Having a DFER like Erika in office could make a huge difference in the quality of education Texas children receive for years to come.
(Any contribution, no matter how small, will help Erika in this crucial race. Donate here to support this true education champion today!)
