DFER launches political fundraising website for public, marking latest milestone for Progressive leadership within the education reform movement

Washington, June 17, 2014 – Democrats for Education Reform unveils its new fundraising website today, The DFER List (https://dferlist.org), empowering the public to help elect Democrats who are passionate about improving America’s public schools.

Designed to connect champions for high-quality education for all at the local, state, and national level with a broad base of donors, The DFER List offers opportunities for first-time supporters and longtime activists to contribute to political candidates across the United States.

“The DFER List is the first political donation platform of its kind and marks a giant leap forward for our movement,” said DFER Executive Director Joe Williams. “It provides the public with a one-stop shop to support those Democratic leaders willing to stand up for our kids. As we approach the 2014 midterm elections, we are excited to offer this tool to help bring us that much closer to providing an excellent education for all our kids.”

Democratic leaders to be featured on The DFER List will include DFER’s such as Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA) and Senator Chris Coons (D-DE). This list will continue to expand, featuring more national, state, and local leaders in the coming weeks.
