Yesterday, Education Reform Now Advocacy and Democrats for Education Reform partnered with Power of Parents in Chicago to help organize a parent rally to end the Chicago Teachers Union (CTU) strike. Parents, kids, faith leaders, and community members came together to urge the CTU to get kids back to school for the sake of their futures and the financial stability of their families (some of which cannot afford to pay for childcare).
Here is a rundown of the press coverage around the event. Stay tuned for more details on the strike. Hopefully this will be resolved today in the interest of Chicago’s most important assets – its children.
